Greatest H2H Heavyweight ever.....with ZERO clinching allowed!

Biggest losers in this scenario -- Wlad and Fury. They move way down in their H2H rankings. Especially Fury; clinch or no clinch, Wlad has a great jab and a sledgehammer right.

 

The thing that makes the least sense about Tyson was that in the era where he was making insane money and could use some infighting lessons, Joe Frazier was working as a trainer and hurting for cash. If ever there was an obvious solution to the problems two men face...

 

Prime Tyson trumps them all, he takes Frazier out just like he did his son.

 

I was referring to Cleveland Williams not battling Cleveland Gaiter.

 

Tyson was very limited inside. I noticed sometimes he'd clinch even when winning an exchange. Ferguson when hurt, retreated to the inside where he felt safest.

Yep,if any guy knew about infighting it was Smokin'Joe ! Iron Mike could/should have been the perfect
infighter.Compact frame,correspondingly short reach but with nuclear punching power.It was so frustrating
to see Tyson being so lame in a clinch.

 

I really like your thoughts! I think the biggest losers would be Wlad And Lewis.

So maybe its like:

1. Tyson
2. Tie: Ali, Foreman, Holyfield
3. Louis

Dempsey, Bowe, Frazier will benefit aswell.
Some more disadvantaged fighters: Fury, Holmes,

 

Agreed. If Fury couldn't clinch and drape himself all over Wilder's back, Wilder is probably still undefeated. If Wlad couldn't clinch and drape himself all over Povetkin, which was probably the worst case scenario I can recall at heavyweight (even worse than John Ruiz's fights), who knows what happens there, too. That Wlad-Povetkin fight is nearly unwatchable, as were a lot of Wlad's fights.

Fury and Wlad are/were great at using their size to just slow the fights way down by just pulling a guy in and pushing down on him. That's why Wlad, in particular, started to do it. He didn't have the endurance and needed breaks.

We heard from Frazier how Ali pulling down on the back of his neck drained him. And Ali never was 40 pounds heavier than Joe in any of their fights. It takes a toll.

Foreman , Liston or Tyson ... Dempsey was a street animal but likely too light ... Jeffries might be a sleeper here is anything about him was legit .. Tua might be a beast as well .. Mercer too
