I think this is the answer. Not sure if Whyte wanted it or if anyone cares now both are on the downwards trajectory. Parker vs Browne is probably more lucrative in Australia. Opelu is to garner attention and have Browne in attendance.

 

You think it sells? Parker is a gatekeeper in the U.K, and has no personality. Parker vs Browne will probbaly do good numbers in Oz. Also Whyte has better options like AJ 2, Bakole if it gathers steam, Dubois or a comeback fight for Joyce.

The fact is Parker did fight in the U.K but hardly built a brand. Instaead he hung out with Fury in hopes he'd get a personality, but he didn't. Instead of carrying Fury's gym socks he could've built some brand like the Samoan destroyer or something simple. Look at Babic - the guy sucks but he talks himself up. Creates something from nothing. He's eons lower in quality than Parker but probably would put far more bums on seats.

No one wants to see nice guys in the ring unless they're elite like Usyk. Parker is pretty much faded into obscurity at this point. At least he has the ANZAC thing going in Australia.

This is hilarious in light of the credit Joyce recently got for beating Parker.

 

I think its great that we do not have to be subjected Josephine Parker any longer at the elite level.

He really isnt exicting to watch - people watch the HWs to see knock outs. Not to see a move around.

His opponent was sparked out recently by shot Lucas Browne, so it will probably go the distance.
