I see Boxxer have announced Mark Heffron v Zak Chelli on the undercard of Smith v Eubank. I think this is a really good match up. What's people's thoughts on this ? Who do you see winning? I personally think Chelli will win it. He is on a roll of going into tough fight. Both fighters are improving, and will be full of confidence. I think it makes for a cracker.
Chelli should win on points. They should have made it chief support to the Azim show on June 10 instead.
It's a good fight, far more enticing than some of the higher profile match-ups. I'll go for Heffron just to even things up. Not sure where he's at now, but maybe there's enough I. The tank for a golden summer
Very good fight. Heffron is the better technical fighter, but Chelli’s size & toughness will be an issue. I favour Chelli on points.
I know this went to purse bids, but Ben Shalom said this is the first of a few Boxxer/Queensbury fights coming up
This is a good fight and the type that should be the norm for undercards. Looking forward to it more than the main event
Anticipating a very close fight....Chelli to edge it but he can be got at and Heffron can wack a bit.
Not sure about the last part but yes it's the type that you see featured regularly on undercards. The only place this main events is at a leisure centre on Channel 5 on 1 of the Sauerland's shows.
Absolutely. We have been seeing a lot more of these British fights on undercards in recent times rather than against international opponents. Like Giles Gomez Jr, Conway Udofia, Thompson Watkins, Gwynne Woodruff, Bentley Smith etc.
Good domestic fight. Both are quite limited technically and can be frustrating to watch, Heffron is the bigger puncher but older, few more miles on the clock and arguably wasted a lot of his career switching coaches and gyms every 12 months, not being fully dedicated to the sport. If he had got more consistent backing that would no doubt have made a difference, he never really gained much of a following (not sure why). Still, it was great to see him win a British title last year as he is a good domestic fighter on his day and can really punch, strong, direct, come forward fighter. If Heffron has stayed in the gym, and is in good condition with the right sort of camp being him, I would favor him to win and maybe even stop Zak.
No it shouldn't Take this away and you'd only complain at some point that for a PPV the undercard is weak
