Good question. I've no idea and can't find anything, It's a strange one and a shame, cause he was a good talented young fighter with plenty of potential. Then he suddenly disapeared/retired never to be seen again. The Cacace fight was close and Cacace hasn't lost since and is high in the world rankings, so no shame there. I remember a lot of domestic fighters like Zelfa Barrett and Lyon Woodstock wanted no part of Bowen.
Still only 31, would love to hear if anyone knows what he's up to. He stopped Maxi. That aged very well!
Funny you should say this because I thought of him a few weeks back and wondered what had happened. No shame in the Cacace loss whatsoever and as has already been said, the Maxi Hughes win has aged very well.
Didn't he have a career as an airplane engineer, or something along those lines. I remember seeing a video with him where he was talking about working full time and training full time, and how hard it was. Perhaps after the loss he picked one career over the other.
That's sad. Greaves looks after his fighters, I'd have liked to see Bowen fight again. Good luck to him in his non boxing life it sounds like he pretty much always worked full time during his bixing career so hopefully he's not starting from scratch. Just shows how hard the sport can be.
