    After half a dozen fights in the Middleweight Division, Jaime is finally "stepping up" against a fighter that is 1-4 in his last 5 fights. Impressive!

    Had he gotten the nod in the Jacobs and Golovkin foghts Derevyanchenko would be much much better sen by the public.

    I was pretty certain Deravyenchenko would not be the same after the 24 back to back brutal rounds against GGG and Charlo, and the Adames fight proved me right.

    Still, this corpse of Deravy is still a serious step up for Munguia, which says a lot about what a pretender he’s been.

    Btw,
    Munguia is ranked no 2 by The Ring and no 3 by TBRB and
    Derevyanchenko is ranked 6 respectively no 7 in the same rankings at middleweight.
    So it s a meaningful fight for the division.

    Derev's career was so criminally mismanaged. Probably as bad as Hank Lundy's.

    I can't imagine that he has much left. And to see him possibly lose to one of the most overrated mids of recent memory is gonna be so sad.

    Back to back fights since Dev was 12-0

    12 round war against Jacobs
    12 round war against Culcay
    12 round war against GGG
    12 round war against Jermallo
    12 round war against Adames
    10 round fight against Joshua Conley

    He's taken a ton of punishments in all those wars and been hurt, dropped or both in all of them and in addition to that he had 420 amateur fights

    And now he's facing Munguia next which will likely be another punishing war
