All good and well but when a 300 pound caveman throws a rock at your head you either have to have that special level of toughness or special level of fighting spirit....or just have the skills not to get caught which will happen anyway but he's no Usyk is he?

I think he's tough and he's got the spirit....but have to wait till that rock throwing caveman comes along and they will hurt pretty much anyone.

Knocking over guys who have come to get knocked over and he thinks he's a badass because Fury let him hold his own in sparring but in boxing you will face an equal. A man who isn't intimidated. A man who isn't phased by what you have to give....and you have to find a way to win and that's what makes a champion. Not knocking over Dave from the chip shop.

Anderson is easily the best American HW prospect, but he's still got a way to go and needs to mature a bit before facing anyone in the top 10. Even though he got a 2nd round KO, his fight against Jerry Forrest proved that his defense still is a work in progress, and he has a few bad habits that will severely limit his chances against a top 10 fighter if he doesn't fix them soon. Having said all that, he certainly does have a ton of potential.

Jared Anderson has lackluster defense and is simply too easy to hit. Combine that with a lack of power and I just don't see it.

I don't know where you're getting the lack of power from. He's won all 14 of his fights by KO and has gone past the 4th round only once, in a fight he won with a devastating KO. Will agree that his defense is lackluster, but he's still young so there's time to fix that.

I really really wanna believe in Anderson: he's from my state so I really do. I still have a lot of questions. I like what I see..........but again those questions

No matter how his career pans out, it will undoubtedly be a fun one.

Even if it wasn’t apparent how utterly clueless OP is about boxing until now, this thread alone would make it obvious.

Fury has always spoken highly of him. He looks good but his next fight will say alot about him.

We need-NEED-someone who is truly willing to keep fighting the best of the people they have fought, over and over again, without deviating. Is this the guy? I hope not.

Isn't he fighting that Kazak chap next? The winner of that will be fast tracked into the mix. They'll have to be taken seriously then.

Watched his last fight he's solid but I wasn't overly impressed.

Good fighter, but his lack of defense is going to catch up with him sooner or later.

Look at what happened to Joyce and Fundora. It's always a matter of time until you run into someone who will take advantage of the wide openings.
