From what I can gauge, Unforgiven doesn’t think much of it, but the name-calling bit does seem incongruous to this part of the forum.

Well it seems that a lot of posters on here don’t like women,you have the option to turn your television off and not watch them box
I can assure you that women’s boxing is here to stay and hopefully doesn’t drive some of you to suicidal thoughts
Comparing men boxing women is just ridiculous they are different but one thing I can say is every female boxer I know does not want to be treated any different to the men
Regarding the Katie Taylor v Chantelle Cameron fight it will not be happening in the near future
Cyclone have offered the fight against numerous world title holders and they have all turned the chance of sharing a ring with Chantelle down

The same can be said about the male equivalent

After Joshua and Fury, is Katie Taylor the next biggest star in the UK ?

 

She is the biggest Irish Star in boxing.

 

Not a fan of women's boxing but I have the utmost respect for Taylor. Imagine if we had a male fighter in this country willing and actively going out of their way to fight everyone possible. I actually expect her to lose this weekend but a legacy has been sealed.

 

It's taken a while but it's finally coming off. And you're right KT does deserve the utmost respect. Great athlete and comes across well. Same with her opponent. I see a close fight either way and wouldn't miss it unless there was something serious to stop me.

 

Fair enough but each to their own. Football and rugby has its place too. Could be biased, England is at or near the top in both sports.

 

Yes she's terrific in 2 sports. Takes some doing. Comes across as a nice person too. Correct about Cameron. IS a real threat and this one is actually now happening. Not a massive age difference like in some cases. KT would never have lived it down if she hadn't taken this . I do think she's fought some very good operators, though I thought Person might have edged their fight. This is the one fight she just had to take, though she's got home advantage. Glad its happening

 

In the Years Prediction thread, I said she'll lose her World Titles this year.

Hope not but sadly, I think she is on the slide and CC will exploit this this weekend.

Edit - KTs titles aren't on the line (I think as she fights at 135) but she loses.

 

Agreed, huge respect to anyone who makes sacrifices and achieves their goals in whatever field in life. Male or female, if people don't like it don't tune in !

It isn’t a coincidence that she isn’t the headliner for her fights in the UK and she’s under people like Chisora and Conor Benn. She isn’t a ticket seller here at all.
