Exactly. And I made the same argument in Canelo GGG 1 and 2. Many close rounds, and I get that fans are going to passionately argue their scoring, but the blind spot has always been that many fans who try to claim robbery fail to acknowledge how close many of the rounds were that lead them to claiming a robbery.
In my home village we have a saying: Unka unka puan nu sim oop tu pau dai pu say. Loosely translated: The sound of the fang of the eagle against life's chalkboard in the sky is an annoyance before it is the sound of death, yet that annoyance does become that secondary sound afterward. Haney will rebound from this victory even stronger. THAT is what I am saying.
But the problem is there is a pattern for scoring close/competetive fights for the house fighter. If this happened once in a while no one would bat and eye but the cases of Kovalev, Golovkin, hell even scoring in previous Loma fights have been dubious to say at least, all show that it's not just a matter of different opinion.
Just look at the amount of fighters, at the fight or otherwise, saying Loma won. So can say what you like about "internet guys", the people in the sport think Loma won as well. And a close fight can be a robbery when things like Moretti giving round 10 to Haney happen, or when there is a general consensus on the winner
Save yourself the time and hassle, shadow is a ‘bot poster’ employed by BF24. Controversy = posts Posts = conversions Conversions = money You’ll notice ‘he’ is online almost 24/7 and is never banned
Shadow is a borderline nut, not a bot. A bot is not sexually aroused by Canelo's sweat and would have tired long ago
When it's an impossibility to find more than 6 feasible rounds that one can give to the winner, any scorecard wider than that is a robbery. What you're essentially making as an argument is. Well.... this guy stole 100 dollars from me, that's a robbery and an egregious one! But that guy, eh... he only stole 10 dollars from me. While also robbery.... I can live with that! Well I'm not a moral relativist. Stealing 100 dollars and stealing 10 dollars are both stealing. Haney fans had to literally turn themselves into ****ing pretzels to find that one extra round to give to him, and even then... they're saying, well, it could've gone either way! When you hear fans of the fighter who received a gift, merely offering up a measly "it could go either way" defense, instead of vociferously arguing that it was a surefire win. That's all the indication that you need to know, even in their hearts, while they refuse to admit it or are in denial. They know Lomachenko got ****ed.
