This content is protected I agree with what Paulie says here at 3.55 '' The small percentage of people that had Haney winning or happy for Haney getting the decision, are happy the white guy lost, thats it'' @Olu G. Rotimi @Pimp C @chacal type people etc
Yes, so many people saying "loma won", but the only argument they give is "they were in the fight", not a single score card. I'm sure all those people watch the fights at ringside with a pencil and a paper to score the fights. Sure, man..... yep....
Loma fans: Loma. True Haney haters: Loma. True Boxing fans : Haney by 2 rounds. False Most of the press and most of fans and the crowd who were present, overwhelming thought Loma won. Bud Crawford thought Loma won. Shakur Stevenson thought Loma won. Paulie Malignaggi thought Loma won Sergio Mora thought Loma won. Yordeis Ugas thought Loma won. Enzo Maccarinelli thought Loma won. Lou Dibella thought Loma won. Ryan Garcia hought Loma won. I haven't seen many who are in the sport state that they thought Haney won.
I put my scorecard 116-112 for Lomachenko on BoxRec. The average fan score was 115-113 for Lomachenko. https://boxrec.com/en/scoring/2957939
Has anyone compiled a list of press scores for this fight? We keep hearing about the 8 or so pro boxers who scored it for Loma. We need a full list of press scores to really get a sense of how the sports media scored it.
The only scores you have posted here are the boxrec average fans. max kellerman's card was laughable, btw. Again. And if we talk about profesionals, the most professional guys here, talking about scoring fights, are the judges. Whether you like it or not.
I like that boxrec thing a lot, they get a lot of cards. I think that 115-113 is looking like the "right" score with one round either side probably reasonable too. But what I would say, is the more people that log cards, the narrower the difference gets. It's actually closer than 115-113 now, 114.66-113.12, the more people that log scorecards, the closer it gets. This was a close fight.
7-5 for Haney is not a robbery it was a close fight 7-5 loma would be fine just like a draw would be. People claiming robbery are acting like loma won 10-2 or 9-3 dominating the fight and that's nonsense. He had two stand out rounds 10 and 11 which gives people the impression that he dominated the fight and that's not how you score fights.
Yes but haney didnt win 7 rounds. 2,4,6,9 are the only rounds he clearly won. You could argue 12, maybe 1 if you really want to help him but you cant give him 7 rounds. Even with a draw he would have been very lucky let alone a win. Loma won 8-4,7-5,7-4-1 with 7-5 being the most mentioned card. It was close but clear for everyone to see.
Loma was robbed and the vast majority of fighters, journalists and fans all agree. Loma got the Las Vegas shaft....again.
Haney won round 12 clearly. It's interesting you say Haney clearly won round 2, 4, 6, and 9, but not 5. In the fan RBR polls, Round 5 was a more clear Haney round than Rounds 7 or 8 were for Loma. Round 9 there was a majority who scored it for Loma, but you say it was a clear Haney round. So there seems to be some disagreements over which rounds fans claim were clearly won.
I dont know man, when I watched it once it seemed like that despite the heavy bias from the us commentators for Haney. I honestly feel round 12 was a could go either way type of round. The rest was easier to score with round 1 being another close round but Loma won it imo. Same with 5-7-8 with 9 being clearly for Haney. When round 10 started I thought Loma was 5-4 up.
