His big fat contract will have helped cushion the blow, allegedly he is on a fixed fee no matter who he fights win or lose the next purse is unaffected.

Without doubt, they have been handing out free tickets all week for this just to try and fill Manchester arena up a bit

Yep. If you gonna steal a fighter from a rival promoter for big money, at least steal a ticket seller. What are they going to do with Okolie now?

I had 2 large TV screens running at the same time and the Conlan Boxing show on BT Sports was excellent but I felt quite entertained by the Boxxer / Sky Sports event.

That felt good didn't it! As someone else mentioned, a couple of the knockdowns were iffy but that is absolute Karma for years of holding, leaning and being deliberately awkward. Happy for CBS, a dream come true for him which is nice to see. He has had an unbelievable last 12 months

Someone’s got to make the teas and coffees surely? Okolie has hospitality experience :)

Boxxer has done a great job for CBS. I´m happy for him because he has not been given anything and had to work hard to get to where he is today.

I think he’d **** that up. Lean over the work top and burn his chest with the tea, whilst gripping the oven gloves hanging over the cooker handles with his forearm. Big clown.

Yeh, never understood that one. He has never been even remotely popular. I suppose if you wanted to be optimistic, perhaps the defeat will force him to change his style - cant see it but we can only hope.

Just to add though, fair play to him on a very sportsmanlike way to take a defeat. I don't like watching him, but that was class and respect shown to CBS in his post fight interview

Some of those knockdowns were bollocks but I don't care

If you are going to so obviously **** the right back you surely have to have means of delivering it a lot more better than that. Or develop a sneaky left hand or soemthing. He has reverted to type.

And whilst we are here, is Sugar Hill overhyped due to training one of the most naturally talented fighters of recent times. He has not improved Okolie at all

I was thinking all the way through that fight. Who would want to promote him? who would want to ref him? Who would want to buy a ticket for him? He’s just terrible isn’t he.

Never thought I'd say this but Okolie made Johnny Nelson's performance against Carlos De Leon look good tonight.

Well Done to CBS, since his loss to Riakporhe he has really stepped up and earned his victory tonight.

Yup fair play to him, he hung around and praised CBS.

Sadly I think Okolie will take a rematch. He doesn't have anywhere to go otherwise as he'll get smashed at HW, and won't wan't to rebuild at this time of his career. He just can't seem to get the grabbing and holding out of his game, and his chin and recovery powers got badly exposed tonight, and CBS took his best shots with relative ease I thought.
