Wanted to see CBS try and achieve his dream despite Okolie being the opponent.

Sky have done some job with him. Just over 12 months ago he was on Matchroom undercards and now he’s headlining his teams stadium for a world title in front of 16k fans.

they didn’t to witness evil Eddie Hearn irresponsibly sending poor Leigh Wood to his supposedly certain doom, so they boycotted it

Because I don't sub to DAZN and only BT & Sky. As interested as I was in the wood fight, I'm not paying £20 to watch it when other stuff is on and I'm not singing up and dropping £100 for AJ to fight once a year.

Same here, I had Wood-Lara on a second screen keeping an eye on it and to be honest neither fight was great. I was expecting Wood-Lara to be an AJ-Ruiz 2 tribute act, one guy running from the other all night so the CBS story appealed a bit more.

How can anyone score that a draw? Is there a picture of the score card? I’d love to see it. He should be made to explain himself!

He must have scored it 117-112 without the 5 points off. Only 3 rounds to CBS. Not good.

What I will say about Okolie is, when he let his hands go when he had the point deductions, he really put it on a bit. Working the body quite well, it's just a shame he reverts to holding nearly all the time rather than mix in that aggression and go up a gear as well.

Id imagine that it is due to SKY having a much bigger subscription base

100% this, sky subscriptions absolutely dwarf any other sports channels by a country mile and will almost certainly continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Its almost a complete monopoly of the UK sports market

Okolie will probably get another chance, but Boxxer should consider releasing him after that awful effort. He is so negative to look at and I agree with the previous post who wrote that Okolie has regressed and not developed.

The best point of the fight was when a frustrated Okolie realised he couldn't catch up on points and started going for the KO, he was a different fighter for those brief moments and interesting to watch. I feared for CBS at that point as he looked exhausted and likely to be caught heavy

I’m not sure about that, but if you compare him to whom his uncle worked with including Lewis, Hearns etc, truly great boxers, his poor nephew is left with Okolie and the likes of Cornelius Bundrage. I don’t think he’s overrated, just more working with mediocre boxers. Maybe I’m wrong.

Big thank you to CBS for relieving huggy bear of the world title. Hopefully we don’t have to see him anywhere near a world title again, the guy is the most negative boxer in human history.
