Taylor was whooped by Prograis. Taylor was whooped by Catterall. Taylor is the most over rated and trash fighter to get his hands on a title in a LONG TIME.

Nah, he beat Prograis. I will give you Catterall though but I have a feeling motivation and a poor camp had more to do with it. Can't help but feel Ben Davison is also a bad fit. Taylor is legit.

i dont know about trash, but i cant argue against the evidence. especially since half the forum was putting him up on p4p lists before cat brought them back to earth.

After watching Taylor get a gift decision while DOING ABSOLUTLY NOTHING vs Catterall (except take cheap shots in the clinch and on the break) I'm convinced Lopez will KO Taylor.

He beat Prograis with no controversy, and the Catterall match is one of the most overblown "robberies" I've ever seen, at best it was a draw or a point in either direction. He certainly isn't overrated, if anything, he's underrated. For the record Prograis would violently emasculate and humble Fimo, and Catterall would school him. Who gives a **** what this Boxing Ge clown has to say, have an opinion of your own Mark.

A 16-0 Taylor beat a 24-0 Rougarou. Sure it was very close but the general consensus among fans is that it was a deserved victory.

A 17-0 Taylor went over to the US to beat a 26-0 JCR in his backyard, dropping him twice in the process and he may well have stopped him had the home ref not given JCR those long counts.

A 12-0 Taylor beat a 28-1 Postol who is still to this day Crawford's best or second best win in 39 fights

    A 14-0 Taylor beat a 19-0 Baranchyk

    A 13-0 Taylor beat a 22-0 Ryan Martin

A 10-0 Taylor beat a 39-5 Miguel Vazquez who had only lost once legitimately in 9 years since losing to Clenelo. Officially he suffered 2 losses during that time but one was a robbery. And Taylor was the first fighter to stop him too

A 9-0 Taylor destroyed a 15-0 Ohara Davies, the same Ohara who arguably beat Catterrall in a razor-close affair

He beat five world champions and became only the fifth undisputed champion in the four-belt era and a P4P top 10 ranked fighter in just 18 fights

You don't achieve all of that and beat all those the fighters unless you're a very good fighter and one bad day at the office after a terrible camp doesn't undo all that

7-0 Taylor moseyed on over to Shawn Porter's gym and beat both him (26-1 at the time) and Ugas up, dropping Ugas and sending him to the hospital with a damaged jaw

'There are reports of the light-welterweight seriously troubling former world champion Shawn Porter in sparring'

''I really caught a glimpse of what was to come when Josh was out with me in Las Vegas ahead of my fight with Leo Santa Cruz in 2017. Josh was sparring former world welterweight champion Shawn Porter, ahead of only his eighth fight, and I remember thinking, 'This guy is unreal' because he bossed the spar.''

''When Josh Taylor used to spar the gym came to a standstill.. unbelievable stuff! I remember seeing him as a pretty green novice professional sparring Shawn Porter in Shawn Porter's gym and punching his head in''

Miguel Vazquez: ‘Josh Taylor is the most powerful opponent I’ve fought’

“It was a unique experience to face such a strong opponent like Taylor and I would be honoured to come back to the UK and fight as many times as I can,” the Mexican said. “He’s a very strong fighter. He has all the tools that a fighter needs.”

Of all the opponents he has fought, and that includes a very young Canelo Alvarez, Vazquez says, “Timothy Bradley has been the most outstanding, technically speaking. But the most powerful was actually Josh Taylor.”

The Ring Magazine ranked him #5

Prograis/Taylor was a great evenly fought fight that Taylor deservedly edged.

Catterall deserved to win vs Taylor for sure, although I had it alot closer than most. I only had Catterall winning by 1 round, and all the point deductions didn't make scoring any easier either. But yeah Catterall definitely deserved to win a close fight but it was ugly.

Again though Taylor wasn't whooped in any of these fights they were both competitive.

    Ridiculous thread.

Whatever one thinks of the Catterall fight, Taylor beat Prograis and Ramirez, the very best at the weight among his contemporaries, and unified at 140lbs.

He absolutely deserved consideration as one of the best P4Pers, on account of his resume and the proverbial eye test.

Taylor won a close fight with Prograis. Taylor has had one bad fight in his career and all of sudden he is not any good. Some people just don't understand boxing. Josh will punish Teo.

He beat Prograis 115-113, then he lost by a point on my card to Cat. No gift, no robbery it was a close fight that could have gone either way.
