teo is all by himself in the ring. His dad has zero tech advice or strategy, hes just a hype man. Gave him nothing inbetween rounds against a B level fighter in kamboses. All he had to do was sit back and box and counter and that fight would be easy. Lopez doesnt have one physical advantage, no advantage in the corner, and no mental advantage. I see no way other then and act of god he wins. How many rounds does josh have to win clean to get a decision? I cant see robbery in teos favor after all his racist remarks either.
No he’s not and I agree he’s better up close.Josh has done in 18 fights what fury seems too have no interest in btw..give him his props fella
So what’s the play here. Bet large on a Taylor KO? The odds seem tempting, but not sure if I’m willing to pull the trigger after his last performance.
Canelo is the champion of all four organizations and Ring Magazine. In boxing, that's as undisputed as it gets.
You say it yourself his resume is only "solid" that alone wouldn't get him in my top 5 P4P and his skillset is less impressive than Crawford's who also is a multi weight champion unlike Taylor.
I'm just not impressed by titles as much as you, even becoming undisputed, for me it's the quality of who you fight and while Taylor has fought everyone he needed to, to become undisputed he's now been putting off the Catterall rematch which if were honest don't know if it will ever really happen. He said he'd move up in weight but didn't, then said he had to face his mandatory in Puello but didn't because of his wedding, so vacated the belt, then agreed to fight Catterall only to pull out with a foot injury and instead of postponing the fight he signs to fight Teo. So both Fury and Taylor right now seem to be doing their best to put off a fight with their biggest threat in their division. I'll give him props when he rematches and definitively beats Catterall in a rematch until then my doubts about his true ability to me seem pretty valid and even then I still wouldn't rank him up there with guys like Inoue, Usyk, Loma, Crawford etc those guys for me are special with resumes to match unlike Taylor.
Crawford is a multi weight WC but when your 2 best wins are Viktor Postol and Ricky Burns then how can you be anywhere near top 5 P4P? Crawford resume is ok but the guy has been a pro for 15 years and Taylor's best win beats Crawford's best win handedly. If he beats Spence it will be his first elite win. You mention qualities of wins and then forget that Crawford's undisputed 140 belts came from fights with Postol, Dulorme and Indongo (who couldn't afford to train and pay sanctioning fee's) whereas Prograis, Ramirez and Baranchyk is a much tougher trio. I dont have Josh in my p4p top 10 as i thought he lost to Catterall, Crawford is in mine but his resume sucks plums.
I don't totally disagree with your assessment but I think Crawford's resume is just solid like Taylor's, there really isn't much difference. Though he's had a longer career and never had a gift decision like Taylor vs Catterall and his skills are a level about Taylor's but on resume alone it's now hard to put him in the top 5 with Inoue, Usyk, Loma, Canelo, Bivol and even Spence who's resume at 147 is better than Crawford's by a mile. We'll have a clearer view of his true standing after the Spence fight, I think he beats Spence and that will cement his place.
Im wondering if Taylor and his team dont like his chances at 147 vs Crawford, Spence, Ennis or Ortiz. I dont.. Maybe that is what is motivating him to stay at 140
He struggles to make weight and I hear he doesn't live the life of a pro when he is not in camp. I think some of that effected his performance in his last fight which he probably thought was a knock over job. Hopefully he has sorted those issues and adjusted his attitude so he can beat the brakes off of Lopez.
