He's more a come forward fighter today than he was back in the day when he fought Vasquez. He was boxing and moving against Vasquez, but without the turtle shell D he would later master.
at 154 i give it to Sweetpea- I think he has a lot more strength that Floyd- and floyd doesnt do so hot against speedy slick fighters- and there were none slicker than Sweetpea! I think floyd would win rounds, but i thin overall Pernell takes it. Whitaker just has a lot more savage KOs than floyd, and he can fight moving backwards, or he can whip that ass coming forward. Floyds fancy shoulderroll would also be downplayed as Sweetpea did his classic dodge / slip / dance out of harms way much to the judges delight!
