Did De La Hoya not get him a strength coach? This should be pretty basic for any serious athlete

He's tall and skinny, certainly his physical strength isn't his strongest side

    He's a boxer not a bodybuilder.

It's not necessary for boxing. Didn't everyone learn this from AJ?

Eh I would say it’s necessary having upper body strength. Especially if you fight someone like Porter. If you fight a clean boxer who doesn’t rough you up on the inside and you’re an outsider fighter it’s not necessary.

Normally I'd agree but it seems weird that a professional athlete can't bench something that most random people on the street could.

He must have barely started benching. I think to start though thats pretty good, that looked to be a 45 lb plate, 90lbs plus the weight of the bar that was probably 105 lbs. Not too shabby to start.

There’s a lot of boxers that don’t lift weights or start later in their careers. He is pretty weak though.

I guess I could probably kick his ass since I can bench double that.

    It’s 135 pounds. A 24 year old can’t press 135? That’s pretty bad.
