Pep and Loma aren’t the same IMO, also Pep UD. He’s more proven against quality opposition.

Floyd is no Sandy Saddler but it would be interesting because he’d make Pep come to him and set traps.

If Pep hung on giving up 40 pounds to Ray Robinson ...
He'd have no problems with Mayweather .. How could May win ,, low work rate ,, he aint landing
    UD Pep 8-4

This fight would take place at the Jr. Lightweight limit. Where May Jr. Looked his best, and Pep was still very effective,
Not far from his best weight featherweight.
I can't think of any of Peps opponents that had the total package of speed , power and Skills May Jr displayed at Jr.light.
Conversely No one May Jr. Faced was as slippery and defensively confounding as Pep was. Peps unorthodox movements, and weird angles he could attack from , while not a physically damaging puncher , but one that would eventually force his opponents to fight more aggressively, thus they end up getting hit even more.
Like walking thru a cloud of gnats , the more you fan, and become annoyed by them, the more they seem to land on you lol.
This would be a chess match. Neither fighter would want to lead, so we'd probably see a lot of jabs, and missed counters.
It's hard to pick against May Jr at this weight. He'd do enough to win a dec in a close fight. His speed and power the difference.
And Loma is not a Pep 2.0, and hasn't done anything that should suggest he belongs in a conversation with either of those fighters.
And judging by how old he is , and how infrequently he fights. He never will.

Mayweather would most likely be weighing a touch above lightweight by the time he entered the ring fighting Pep if matched at junior lightweight so he'd certainly have the advantage there you'd think.

Also, Pep while still very good, wasn't great as he was at feather.

Floyd never fought at featherweight. This is just not a good match up. If you wanted an interesting match up with a prime featherweight Willie Pep then you could've done match ups like Armstrong, Sanchez, Saldivar, etc. If Floyd was the main appeal of this match up for you then Arguello at 130 could've worked or Floyd vs the Ghetto Wizard at 135. Both Pep and Mayweather have plenty of interesting match ups.

also Loma and Pep aren't that stylistic similar.

It appears you are right they fought, when Robinson was 16-17yo as amateurs.

Ya Pep talks about it in an interview and a couple articles.. It was a fight in a barn as his manager matched him and he was pissed off about it ... survival mode the whole time as he describes it as Ray was trying to KO him ... but Pep lasted, giving up around 40 pounds ,I think he weighed 103 ,, LOL) ... at his weight.. thats like giving up 60 pounds as a MW and more as you go up in weight ... As it is all a percentage over your own weight... very impressive
Anyway,, if he can handle SRR , no problem handling a guy named pretty boy
