What Spence said is right. What the doofus talking said is bull****. The best should fight the best **** the belts, there's no reason not to fight the best undisputed or not. If you feel you're the best, you fight the guy that is considered the best or right behind you.

 

Sanctioning bodies are a scam. That's why there's 4 of them with a 5th trying to become a thing. Literal scammers.

 

The scammer is Errol Spence. Scamming the sport of boxing and not fighting the best in his division for almost a decade. 3%.... what is he doing with all the percentages that he receives? Crashing Ferraris into trees? How does that help anyone?

Other than Porter, Spence was fighting the best at WW. Clearly you don't know what u are talking about. Only person Spence didn't fight was Thurman, due to Thurman ducking him. Would have fought Pac but got injured. Now he's fighting Crawford, whose been the one holding up this fight.

 

I think the point he is making is that once you start bringing in a certain amount of money the 3% fee starts to become very unfair for certain fighters. Aj and Canelo making 30+ million are paying the same 3% fee that guys making 800k pay. When it comes to other fees in boxing at a certain point it becomes a flat rate fee as opposed to a percentage. Perhaps if the rules were changed to where after a certain purse the rate became flat rather than a percentage you wouldn't have Mauricio Sulaiman worshipping everything Canelo does.

 

It's quite shameful to knowingly spit out garbage. Porter is a fighter that really sucks. Pac wasn't just over the hill but acctually buried in the hill, oh and he is what a former flyweight champion?

Most WW top fighters in the last 20 to 30 years moved up to that weight class, from Duran, Mayweather, Judah, Cotto, Crawford, Pac, Bradley, De La Hoya, Mosley, Sweet Pea, Crawford, Danny Garcia etc. So your point you tried to down Spence resume was stupid and an epic failure!

 

Amen. If there was only one world title per division the best would have to fight the best if they wanted to become world champion.

There is only one world and there should only be one world champion per division.

He’s asking the right questions. If you’re paying a bs percentage just to hold a belt you rightfully earned, the least they can do is help the fighters. Other sports have insurance plans for every athlete, but the most dangerous one makes the fighters pay out of pocket for everything. Boxing is too ridiculous sometimes.

It's basically like the highest form of advertising and the pinnacle of endorsement.

It's simple. If you hold a belt, you make a ton more money.

Think of the 3% as a luxury tax.

With zero belts on the line, the fight can no longer be considered a unification or undisputed. It just wouldn't be anywhere as big or sexy.
