I actually think Norton would win more rounds. But on the other hand, I think Marciano wins the fight by stoppage. Norton puts on a Walcott like performance before going down in smoke

This would not be a rout because I actually think it’s not a great stylistic matchup for Marciano but Rocky connects about halfway through and it’s lights out.

The Ken Norton who went life and death with Holmes would be way to good for Marciano

I am 63 years old and a fan of Ken Norton. I wish he'd have won the match against Larry Holmes. But I could see two different fights with the same winner. One is where Norton is not intimidated due to Rocky's lack of size and weight. And one where Ken is intimidated because of Marciano's punching reputation. In the first scenario. Kenny boxes well, doesn't get tagged early, and is leading on all cards going into the 9th round. However, even though both had endurance, The Rock goes into full gear after being cut in the 8th round and begins to reach Norton more in the 9th, knocking him down 3 times for a TKO win. In the second scenario. Rocky uses more modern training methods and beefs up some. By fight time, Norton has a case of nerves and it shows when the bell rings. Just like in his fight with Foreman. Ken does his best to stay away from an aggressive and confident Rocky Marciano but succumbs to nerves and pressure very early on in the fight. Rocky is again the winner in this second scenario, but by a third-round knockout, after Suzi Q finds its mark halfway through the round.

Marciano trained with a punching bag 100 kg heavy every day. His style was unorthodox and unpredictable. He had hands of stones and excellent chin and stamina. Imo the only one could have beaten him was a prime Ali.

What Ken was most intimidated by was the realization once in the ring that, "This guy can hurt me!" It even happened in the second bout with Ali, possibly making Norton excessively cautious in their world championship rubber match.

To me, Norton was really a round three to round eight performer.

I see Norton winning ten of ten by KO.

Marciano DEMONSTRATED being able to throw almost 100 punches in the 15th round of a fight. A punch will land.

The Archie Moore fight, but a little bit longer. Norton shared some similarities with the mongoose, notably the crab defense and strong punches from odd angles. Norton also had a very underrated jab and had pretty damn good stamina. Rocky would go through hell getting past the athletic 6'3 Norton's jab and would go through even more hell cracking through that fortress guard with his linear offense-oriented style. Since neither guy can fight backing up, it would become a war.

I think Rocky loses many early rounds and gets busted up, with a swollen left eye. Norton scores a flash knockdown with a double hook combination. Rocky does what he can to keep Norton honest with body shots, overhand rights, and whatever he can land to try and chip away at Norton before things start to tilt in his favor by the 7th. Rocky scores a knockdown and badly hurts Norton by the 9th and both guys are running out of steam because of the breakneck pace. Finally, with a stream of blood trickling down from his forehead nearly completely obscuring his vision, Rocky makes it a close range fight in the 10th furiously pounding away before Norton's guard is broken. He sneaks in a short powerful Suzie Q and drops Norton for the 2nd time. A bewildered Norton is covered in sweat staring at the canvas before he is back up on wobbly legs at the count of 8. Norton desperately covers up, but is overwhelmed by a barrage of shots falling to one knee as the ref waves it off immediately.

I get you Noel. I guess there are some who can’t see any logic in any opinion that concludes anything but a win for Marciano. :D
