It'll be funny if Ngannou got sparked. But I wouldn't be surprised if Chisora got flat-lined himself though. He's at that point in his career where a massive drop off in ability and durability overnight due age and the accumulation of punishment that he's absorbed over the course of his career wouldn't be much of a shock. If Ngannou is beating any ranked HW it's Chisora or Whyte. Those two are the most vulnerable.

Agreed. Chisora is so war torn. Him not being able to hold a shot like Ng's anymore shouldn't be overly surprising.

    Intriguing matchup.

Just as many would laugh. Ngannou was forced down the throats of the UFC fandom, totally exposed when he finally got his shot, then held the belt hostage after finally beating an aged/anemic Stipe while acting like a total diva. He's polarizing figure for those reasons.

Definitely has a bit of Chavez Jr/Silva feel to it doesn't it? Not in the same ways that the geriatric but motivated Silva posed some an upset threat for the poorly disciplined Chavez. But like you said it'll be interesting whether or not Chisora will be able to keep the big crude brute off him and tank his blows if they do indeed find their mark.

If Chisora loses he needs to retire ASAP.

    Look at this technique:

Chisora stops him with relative ease. Ngannou’s punches are so wide and telegraphed that even this shopworn version of Chisora should be able to avoid them without much problem and land his overhand right.

For being a B level fighter Chisora makes a lot of good coin.

On the one hand, I don't mind this as an undercard filler fight for two huge main events. We'll finally see the best fight the best at HW (over 5 years overdue).

On the other hand, Chisora literally gets more opportunities the more he loses and it's becoming incredibly annoying. There aren't any other boxers they could have used for Ngannu to test the waters in pro boxing? Why do they always pull Chisora fresh off another bad loss and then pay him a ton of money to lose again? He doesn't deserve it. You shouldn't get rewarded for losing constantly. He's the new Bob Sapp at this point.

Chisora is so shot by now that Ngannou actually has a reasonable chance. Cheering for Chisora btw.

Because the point is that he must lose. He's a shot, reliable loser with a known face that looks scary and therefore very matcheable.

    Shades of Deontay Wilder!

Look my take is this...bad for fir Ngannou because he will probably lose, and bad fight for Chisora because he probably already has brain damage, and don't need any more. That not withstanding, the match has a certain intrigue, and if Ngannou gets the lucky punhc, he will get his big cash-out against Fury or Joshua. Not bad for an undercard.
