Spence is tougher than Cotto and would eventually break him down and stop him.

Ok, Cotto has to be the most overrated/underrated fighter in history. He was a great fighter but lost every big fight. Name on fighter he defeated that makes you think he beats Ennis, Lopez, Crawford, Spence, Thurman (Prime), Porter (prime), or even Virgil. I'll wait.

Ennis hasn't even beaten a top 10 Welterweight lol.

Keith Thurman ? The same guy that got humbled and semi retired by a 40 year old Manny Pacquiao lol.

You were saying before Porter was an overrated gatekeeper now your hyping him up ? Make up your mind.

Name a fighter any of those fighters above that would beat anyone Cotto lost to like Mayweather, Pacquiao, or Canelo at Middleweight I'll wait......

Most likely true but to be fair Cotto was in there time again with tough comp compared with Errol now if we see more from Spence & at 154 it would be clearer.

Spence and Crawford are completely untested at the elite level of boxing. Cotto has some losses there but he at least challenged himself.

I'll take Cotto over both, neither Spence or Crawford have fought an elite level fighter. Both are very good fighters but completely unproven.

Exactly this. Mayweather set a bad example by protecting his 0 at all costs. He did get filthy rich though and he kept all his marbles. But it did make fighters avoid each other, as if having an 0 will make you more money.

I'm not going to speculate on who Crawford or Spence would beat in match-ups against past HOF until they fight a couple themselves. Yes, Cotto lost to Mayweather and Pacquaio but those are two great fighters, no shame in that.

Another great mythical match up is Spence/Margarito. As far as Cotto/Spence goes, too close to call it. Might come down to stamina. Definite war.

Spence has Cotto retreating on his bike by the 2nd half of fight, bangs the body for 11th round tko. Too big, too sound, too busy

Kinda lean towards Spence. On one hand Spence is a bit basic and on the surface you'd think that leaves room for Cotto to succeed, but under the surface I don't think Cotto would like or do well with Spences mental pressure, and the type of subtle physical strength he applies.

It's a great matchup but think I'd lean towards Spence to eek out a close decision.

Spence vs Margarito is a more competitive fight imo and would be amazing to see.
