    Would be a fun fight.

Though Derevyanchenko is clearly past his prime, he's still a world class operator. He certainly has skills, heart, chin and experience to give Berlanga all he could handle and more.

Who you got in this one?

For the record I’ve met Derv. I’m 5’11 and no way this guy is any taller than 5’8, probably more like 5’7 and a half. Don’t think 168 is the right division for him.

    Derev would work Berlanga.

I would root for him but Berlanga has a good shot at hurting him. If they were the same size Berlanaga has no shot.

Berlanga doesn't have good fundamentals and his power Is a little overrated, I think Chenko would take his best punch then Grind him down to a late stoppage.

I think it would be a fun fight but I really don't know if Derevyenkchenko can keep up with taking these kinds of fights that can potentially take a lot out of him and possibly be screwed over by the judges scorecards. He's taken too much punishment and it would suck to see him getting stopped.

I thought Derevyanchenko was finished before the Mungia fight and he showed much more than I thought he had left. Still there' comes a time against a young kid when it's over. And the size would probably be too much.

I’d favor Dev but there is a lot of unknowns with him. He did a lot better than I expected his last fight but he still took a ton of punishment and got dropped. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s one of those guys that becomes shot overnight. It doesn’t take much to beat Berlanga though, he has zero ring iq.

    Think he'd win too clearly.

One thing you have to give credit to Berlanga for is his power. Derv could win almost every sec of the round but if he stuns Derv once in that round, the judges will give it to him.

I hate how his career has turned out, they really put Derev through the ringer. And even worn to almost nothing he's still a test for anyone. I want him to retire though.

He prob needs money. But yeah they’ve ****ed him over, every fight he’s lost is controversial besides the Charlo fight.

They're friends and former stablemates who shared the shame trainer up until recently. Berlangy was his chief sparring partner for the GGG fight

“Sparring with Sergiy has been an honor and a great experience and I am fully confident that he can shock the world against GGG. Sergiy is the real deal and I have learned a lot in camp with him and I have gained a lot of confidence myself knowing that I can mix it with elite-level fighters such as Sergiy Dereyvanchenko.

“Sergiy is technically an unbelievable fighter. I understand why people believe he is going to beat Golovkin on October 5 because he is such a complete fighter''
