He was a "power boxer", whatever that meant

But seriously he had an abundance of speed, power and physical strength (I'm not here to discuss him being enhanced). He was a helluva specimen. One thing I don't get is how people went on about his jab, his jab really was never that good, it was just a measuring tool for him.

Pro: Good chin, lots of heart, could put punches together well, was a hell of a puncher, killer instinct//finisher.

Con: Weird style, head movement was not there, was lost in the center of the ring//boxing range, when the fight flowed with exchanges and lots of activity he could find openings but he was not the best at making his own openings against a guy who had defense.

Mosely was a bit like Roy Jones and Evander Holyfield, he seemed to bulk up and become superman for a while . . .

I think that prime Mosley and ODLH would beat Floyd and Pac at 140-147

I think he has arguably the most impressive Resume of all time:

    John John Molina
    Jesse James Leija
    DLH 2x
    Forrest 2x
    Winky 2x
    Vargas 2x
    Collazo
    Cotto
    Mayorga 2x
    Margarito
    Mayweather
    Pacman
    Canelo

His biggest strength linked intrinsically into his biggest weakness for me.

When he let his hands go his combinations and timing were brilliant and if he was aggressive as he was with Margarito he was very hard to beat. His hands were very fast and he carried power in both hands with an array of punches in his arsenal.

A solid technical fighter with a good jab could offset this and Shane in his shell could become quite negative in fights and he would become disheartened and broken down by the methodical approach of a Wright for example.

    Great fighter however, no doubt.

Exactly. Back then (early 00s) Mosley was considered top-3 p4p boxer along with Jones jr and Trinidad (and many placed him at#2).

Floyd at that time struggled badly vs Castillo and Shane certainly would've considered a clear favourite against him.

He looked sensational in many fights of that period. Not as great as Jones jr however. Cause Jones jr looked completely unbeatable.

Interestingly, Mosley, like Jones, looked very beatable after his speed and reflexes were gone. Mosley, however, possessed great chin so his downfall wasn't as hard and dramatic as Jones'.

    Strengths- power, speed, chin, PEDs
Weakness- limited ring IQ, could lose concentration when behind in a fight
