I found this little snippet on the British Pathe account on YouTube, then I adjusted the speed and tried making it more normal. Here's the result:

This was filmed during Tommy's training camp against Dempsey.

Amazing that in those days the main guys didn't wear headgear, got cut maybe a week out from the fight and just put a bandaid on it,
and sparring a couple days before the fight.

 

They are wearing headgear in the footage, albeit not the most protective ones.

 

I didnt' see Gibbons' headgear it's so small.

If it's the one involving the gerbil, vaseline, mini basketball net (what a waste of a purchase that ended up being), forceps & ended in a trip to the hospital, it's been proven in a court of law that it was of my twin brother.

There are few moment of sublime greatness in this footage, footwork, shoulder posture. Would love to see this time corrected.
