i rewatched the wbc-championship between klitschko and sanders and man, that guy has a tough chin. sanders managed to rock vitali in the first 3 rounds but after that vitali took over. both guys have to have an iron chin. in the end sanders was dead on his feet but he showed balls and did not go down. unbelieveable. and klitschko got caught badly in the 1 round. in his fight against timo hoffmann, klitschko got caught also often and badly. he won the fight on points.

That was one of the greatest fights I had ever seen. What a show. Too bad Sanders is not the same, and hopefully Vitali can regain it.

yeah, the fight was great. i want to see somebody drop vitali. that would be a act. who could do it? peter maybe or a chagaev. yeah, chagaev has the tools to beat the former champ. lennox would have knocked klitschko out, too but ............pardon, that thread is mad.

What are you talking about? Vitaly made Hoffman a live punching bag and raped him over 12 rds. Hoffman posibly landed in single digits over the course of the fight. In fact the referee should have stopped it around 9-10th rds, because Hoffman was a blody mess and completely outclassed.

Which Vitali-Sanders fight was a great fight? Perhaps they met in the amateurs. Their professional fight was 2 rounds of Sanders head-hunting, followed by 7 rounds of slow and methodical aggression by Vitali. The stoppage was a massive anti-climax.

Not without reason did PPV numbers for Klitschko-Williams tank so badly. Vitali just isn't an exciting boxer.

Sorry, but what are you talking about? Granted, Hoffmann is as skillless for a heavy as it gets but he can take a punch and is usually barely marked. Hoffmann wasn't in any danger to be stopped and there wasn't anything remotely close to a "bloody mess".

Hoffmann looks actually fresher than Klitschko in that pic.

The 3rd round was very good. Sanders had his moments, but mainly after round 3 he just took a beating.

Sanders showed a lot of heart and desire. I wish he had shown more desire in training. Actually not just this fight, but his whole career.

My bad. It has been a while since I watched it but I do recall that Hoffman's face was extremely red. I did not say that Hoffman could not take a punch, after all he is the only fighter that went with Klitschko the distance, so obviously he has a great chin. What I meant was the fight was a one way beat down, with Hoffman only defending himself. I wish I could retreive the punchstats. Do you have them?

ya, but incidentally, someone on youtube posted highlights of the fight that only include Hoffman's breif good moments. IT really is magical editing because it makes Hoffman look good in a fight he was virtually shut out in.

I was watching that fight with my Ukrainian brother in law and his friends. They were tripping in the early parts of the fight.

Funny as hell, but a good fight though.

the guy is a waste of talent for sure, he has a great chin ,heart , fast hands with a lot of power, he's got one of the best left hands in the business, but...... his training is obviously lacking and his defensive and boxing skills are average, but he swings for the fences and is looking to kO guys, it doesn't look like he plans to let things go to the judges. I wouldn't mind him making one last go at it if he can get in shape.
