I know it seems unbelievable given the history of the sport, but just look at his fights with Matthysse and Molina. He walked into totally monstrous punches that would have knocked out any other boxer, and Ruslan was unfazed. He seemed not to feel them.

I'm not talking about his general skills, which are very poor, just lace.

Could be, he's up there with Hagler and GGG.

No. Best chin goes to LaMotta or Tex Cobb.

Probably up there with the best chins in recent history alongside GGG. The way he ate Matthysse’s punches as if they were nothing was crazy.

Saying that though I don’t think I’ve seen him absorbed huge blows the way GGG did.

You have to give more credit to higher weight classes. Size matters. I am sure you can find a bunch of bantamweights that ate every shot in the book.
That shot Golovkin took above was hellacious. Considering it was late in the fight I am shocked it didn't even appear to stun him.

There wasn't a more murderous puncher than Matthyse

I'd have to say Muhammad Ali is very high on the list. The man took a lot of huge shots from heavyweights and was never counted out. In fact, he rarely went down.

Ruslan was one of them definitely. He blocked punches with his face. James Toney, Marvin Hagler, GGG, and Saul Alvarez are iron chin fighters.

That was a bonafide bomb that exploded on GGG, he did not even misstep.
