Come on, man. Marciano destroys Alvarez. They aren't the same size and why is this a thread. Canelo is barely a small sized light heavyweight and he would get pounded by Marciano.
Haha! I have to admit I thought this was a joke thread at first and was going to congratulate the creator of this thread for almost killing me as I nearly choked on my breakfast laughing so hard. But when I thought a bit more about it…… I laughed even harder and spat out my coffee. Rocky wins by decapittation. Which round? Any round he chooses!
LOL. OTOH there are folks who believe he could have whupped Lennox Lewis and Tyson Fury. At some point the difference in size and strength becomes insurmountable.
Rocky brutally KOs him and the judges score it no contest because of some imaginary foul Rocky did. What a discussion!
I've read somewhere that Canelo weighed 185-188 against Kovalev after rehydration, the size difference may not be as significant as you think
If Rocky was eating the same cattle as Canelo, he would be 10-15lbs bigger than Canelo. In this reality, they were probably similarly sized maybe Canelo a bit bigger musculature wise. Not that I think it determines the fight outcome.
I'm not getting into a discussion of a fight that can't happen, but if there was a time machine and Marciano could be brought forward in time to fight Canelo, Marciano exactly as he was, Canelo as he is, I'd bet on Canelo. Canelo is a skilled, well schooled fighter. When I watch RM I have to believe that WW2 took a big toll on the heavyweight division. For me, RM's problem is not his size, it's his lack of boxing fundamentals and skill. I'm not picking Canelo because I think he is a super fighter, I'm picking him because RM looks terrible on video.
Well of course you would your the same guy that said "Wilder would never have a competitive fight in any other era if he didn't have to fight Fury". No biased view there then I guess.
"If DW had come along in an era without Fury he might not have had a close fight in his career." https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...me-george-foreman.705782/page-3#post-22382903 It's biased to think that one of the hardest hitting Heavyweight/Cruiserweights of all time, and H2H one of the best Heavyweight/Cruiserweights would not be favoured over a Super Middleweight who's never fought at Cruiserweight. Yeah your comment in this thread and suggesting Wilder is the 2nd best H2H Heavyweight fighter of all time without even being challenged are pretty good examples.
Thank you for correcting the quote. That one looks right. I take being quoted as a compliment, but I do want the quote to be accurate. RM is not even close to being a H2H great at any weight (another one you might want to remember and quote?). He came along at a time when the heavyweight division was depleted. But you can believe anything you want, I don't read your posts and I if I ever did read one I don't remember what you wrote. The only reason I saw this one is that you copied my post and I got an alert. Again, thanks for reading and remembering what I write. It's nice to have fans, but if you are going to use my posts and quote them, get the quote right next time.
