He's so talented but has only had 2 fights a year for the past 3 years, be good to see him pick up the pace.

yeah man a talent like that can be fast tracked

super skilful fighter with power with a cocky flashy style, he should be showcased more.. I reckon casuals could be interested in him. Hes like a better version of Josh Kelly. Just needs to watch with that hands low style getting caught.

Ireland is blessed with two very good fighters at the same weight, with donovan and pierce o'leary.

I do feel o'leary is getting the jump on donovan, mainly due to management and pure dedication.

    donovan is 147 , o'leary 140

Donovan, Kieran Molloy, Lewis Crocker & Stephen Mckenna all coming up at 147. Could be some good future fights there.

Seems like he has left Top Rank. His trainer Andy Lee wants him to work with Matchroom in the future. The Dublin card is looking quality right now. I can see Matchroom holding future events in Ireland even without Katie Taylor with Gary Cully, Agyarkho, Thomas Carty and Paddy Donovan.

Main event sells itself to be fair. Dennis Hogan JJ Metcalf is a 50/50 fringe world-level contest. That could headline another card on its own. Harper Braekhus is interesting since Braekhus is a natural 154 fighter and Harper is much smaller. Not sure how much Braekhus has left ot give, but this is a tough test for Harper, regardless of your opinion on female boxing.

Then you have a lot of Irish talent. Gary Cully should have a much better fight, hopefully he has a bigger one in September. Agyarko returns after a year against an underwhelming opponent. But then you had Carty McFarlane which will be on Before the Bell and will be guaranteed action, and then Paddy Donovan stepping up against someone who just fought for the British title against Dalton Smith, also on Before the Bell.

There aren't that many British cards this year with better undercards than this show to be honest. This is just me being 100% with it.

What a step-up this would be for Paddy Donovan. I am loving how Matchroom are aggressively matching some of their top young fighters so early on in their careers.
