Yes damn fine showing. What was most impressive was his boxing ability. Excellent jab.

Inoue is a highly skilled fighter, with an incredible gas tank, work rate and punching power but Canelo is more experienced at the highest level, has aspects to his game that Inoue doesn't have. But I'm not gonna argue with Inoue being ranked higher P4P than Canelo. It's very hard to have anyone ahead of Inoue at this point given how dominant he's been.

Anybody who doesn't understand the brilliance of the game plan that Inoue just executed, let me break it down for you:

He deliberately committed himself to simply outbox Fulton over the first half. What this achieved was twofold: a) it put the "boxer" in the match-up in an increasingly uncomfortable position where he and his team must have known that mathematically he was in or nearing "must win via KO" territory - not where a non-puncher wants to be. This gets in Fulton's head and throws him off his game defensively as well as perhaps stirring him to desperate aggression that will facilitate open lanes for counter-punching. And b) it kept much of Inoue's strength and conditioning in reserves, by relying primarily on his jab and only throwing lighter versions of his power combos (as I alluded to in earlier rounds) allowing him to explode when it came time for the final assault.

In the seventh, Fulton thought he may have planted a stake in the ground and given himself a glimmer of hope when he caught Inoue with a big right hand. This just meant the mechanism was sprung and he was trapped. Inoue certainly felt that shot, but wasn't hurt and indeed answered back immediately with a two-piece that jellified Fulton's newfound confidence. His body language after simmering on his stool for a minute and then answering the bell for round eight was that of a fighter beaten in all but name.

Then a sexy video gamesque coup de grace (with an RJJ flourish) on the already mentally dazed combatant:

Body jab, right hand on the jaw, leaping gazelle hook. Fulton could and should have stayed down, but there was no escaping that water now the shark had tasted blood. Consummate finish, nothin wasted.

    Just masterful chess.

That stick to the body was not just window dressing. It set up so much of what he was doing. Master class.

    On to work...

This was an easy fight to score and that dumb ass had it 4-2-1. He is a ****ing joke. One if the biggest attention ***** on this forum and agenda driven toward certain fighters of one color.
