You gotta make the choice of at least trying to make the adjustment when Plan A doesn't work. Once he found out he couldn't outbox him, Fulton should have tried to go inside in the pocket, staying there, and focus on throwing short punches to the head and body. Probably he gets knocked out sooner as he's not much of a puncher and would be more in the danger zone but at least he gives himself a chance to win and represents himself better. No adjustments were made and Fulton just fought timidly until the stoppage. Great win for Inoue but a pretty bad performance from Fulton.

Well you had the first round even in this fight when Inoue outlanded Fulton 4:1 so it can’t be worse than that

What the hell are you talking about? Within the first 30 seconds it was clear Inoue was going to horribly outclass him.

Inoue couldn't miss with the jab to the head and body. Fulton looked like he was moving in slow motion and Inoue found his range immediately.

You realize a fighter doesn't have to be busted up to be getting dominated right?

There were like two rounds that you could have given to Fulton, and that was one of them. Seventh was the other. In both cases, they could have been scored 10-10 or to Inoue pretty easily.

Honestly, Fulton did about as well as he could given who he was facing and what he had to work with. Inoue wasn't gonna let him move so he had to try to engage when he could while being cognizant of what was coming back. Didn't do that bad a job of it in the fourth and fifth, and I thought he had a pretty good seventh.

But, Inoue was tremendous throughout, and the fact that he was able to clearly outbox a guy like Fulton before dispatching him makes this my Performance of the Year. I don't see anyone topping this quality of performance in 2023.

They will make money from his lose for two weeks.

And they are not Fulton fans, they are race fans

Each to their own of course but I really can't see this. Inoue won them all for me.

I guess, I don’t think Kamikazing himself into a buzzsaw would have made this a good performance. Fulton actually came on in the fight when he realized he had to try and throw and stop Inoue advancing, he was just massively out skilled and outgunned

Fulton didn't win a single round. He even clearly lost the couple of decent rounds he had too

I don’t know anything about illegal wraps nor do I think Fulton was ahead. I have given you my scorecards. I don’t think there was anything lucky about Inoue’s victory rather I think his boxing ability is improved.

Inoue must easily be p4p nr. 1 after this. Stepping up a division against the best there and doing this... When was the last time that happened? Pac-Barrera?
