Who is the more exciting fighter to watch, Floyd Mayweather (in his prime) or Naoya Inoue?

Who had the more fan-friendly style? Who won his fights more impressively?

Floyd was always very cautious and safety-first, he had just one stoppage win in his last ten fights, and that was a sucker punch against Ortiz. He ran out the clock for dull decision wins against overmatched opponents like Berto and against smaller men like Guerrero and Marquez. Floyd seemed afraid to go for the KO. But Inoue has the courage that Mayweather lacked, making him a more exciting fighter.

    Very true.

He has more class than Floyd - good manners and good sportsmanship. And he doesn't seem like the kind of man who would beat up a girlfriend.

I think Floyd at 130 and 135 gets overlooked today. He was willing to face anyone and, with the exception of Castillo, dismantled them. He was a special fighter.

But Inoue also fights anyone who is up for it, four weights above his first one already, and also has great form and fundamentals, but also fight ending power even at 122. Basically Pac at 126, but with better fundamentals. Don't expect him to go up another 20+ pounds in weight classes as Pac did, but still an extremely rare specimen.

Exciting is subjective first off and I never considered pbf as the greatest. I said he was the greatest of his era. Dumb thread you created simply to start ****.

Obviously the answer to all those questions must be Inoue, but what does this prove? Mayweather is still the modern-day best at what he did. Inoue doesn't really do (nor set out to do) what Mayweather did, which is a large part of why he is so exciting to watch.

To be fair. Floyd then and Floyd now is a whole different animal. the answer is clearly Inoue but Floyd in the lower weight classes and in his prime was a hell of a fighter. I am not a Floyd fan but did enjoy watching him back then.

Floyd was pretty damn boring in comparison to Inoues seek and destroy style.

Inoue is why we watch boxing. Inoue don't need no ref to protect him from getting hit.
