If Bud has a dominating performance Saturday, he’s number 1 p4p and it’s not necessarily close too

You can compare apples with oranges but you have to be fair in your comparison. Inoue is a bantamweight, a division with zero star fighters. Crawford is a fighter that none of the stars wanted to fight.

The quality at welterweight lately has been crap, this is the reason why Spence became and stayed champion. A win over Spence therefore is really not such a big deal.

If Crawford wants the P4P title then he would have to do things that the 147 division simply doesn't accommodate. If he was to take out Tzyu and head higher and beat GGG or Canelo then sure P4P he is. He could also start with going up for Tzyu and then going down to 140 for Haney and Teo, this could also bring in the P4P glory but realistically speaking the only way he gets a P4P designation will be because of the lack of success of other fighters and not cause of his own great success.

Would beating Spence, Tzyu, Boots and Vergil Ortiz do the trick? If done in the next 18 months then probably yes.

    I think, there's a good argument that you're right.

P4p lists (current or all time) tho fun are fictional & a concept essentially to make fans of small (usually American) fighters still feel superior to the big boys who are more often than not EE or UK fighters recently.. ppl make way too much of it... the truth is the elite of the HWs , CWs & LHWs etc are the top dogs of the sport & would beat everyone else in REALITY.. P4P is the alternate reality that Inoue & Canelo & Crawford etc fans rely on to be the supposed best fighter in boxing... dont get me wrong I partake in it too & some of these elite smaller fighters can mix it at the higher weights to an extent (Canelo for instance) but it's not to be taken that seriously.. but for those that do maybe have a rethink of your criteria.. because I certainly wouldn't define a 180lbs welterweight as p4p #1  .. in my opinion it's actually everything that pound for pound ISN'T! That's weight grifting...

P4P rankings are BS... Truth is fighting styles do not translate over weight because.... Chin is linear while punching power is exponential. Meaning the higher you go, even the weakest of guys can knock you out. So a smaller weight fighting style which tends to get hit more because they can take the punches, will not translate to higher weight cause you would KO'd faster. (Think Emmanuel Stewart training Klitschko from puncher to boxer, he had alot of success after changing his fighting style)

That being said.. Your argument is flawed. The only reason you can give it to Crawford for the simple fact that he would be 2x Undisputed, nothing else.
How can you compare the winner of two longtime welterweights to a fighter who moved up in weight, and completely dominated and KTFO his opponent? If you say lower weights dont matter as much, then by that stretch, the P4P king will always be the heavy weight Champ.. Tyson Fury. He's at the top of the mountain looking down.

HEY! P4P is fun.. just imagine it though! You take Inoue, with all his swiftness, accuracy, granite chin, and punching power and multiply it to 200lbs... you have a freak of Nature incredible hulk guy. LMAO

You're right though.. P4P favors the bottom end.. because the inverse just looks terrible.. Take Tyson Fury, and subtract 200lbs.. and he's this linky awkward 6ft+ 108lb mfer... lmao

Nah, Fulton beat Figueroa. Figueroa has wins over Nery and Magsayo, both very legitimate and skilled fighters. Crawford doesn't have a prime win as good as Fulton. If Figueroa beats Vargas I'd even say prime Fulton>prime Porter, because that would firmly establish Fig as a true A tier fighter. And remember, Crawford didn't beat a prime Porter.

For the first time Imo, I would consider having Crawford as P4P #1, but it would have to be a spectacular KO for me to put him over Inoue RN.

Fulton already being looked at as a can, despite beating many guys with good records and being a very good fighter himself

Inoue is a victim of his own success. Just because he made Fulton look average, doesn't mean he is average

Inoue will still be number 1 for me
