I have a long standing argument with a friend on who would win in a fight; prime Mike Tyson fighting at ~220 lbs or prime Floyd Mayweather fighting at anywhere from 130-147 lbs? I know this seems like an absurd question, but I would love opinions of those with actual boxing knowledge to weigh in.

Who do you think would win and why?

Imagine lying in your very first post. You don't have friends. No one who think this is a question has any friends.

Sure Floyd wins - tell it to your friend.

I fear for Tyson's safety in this fight. Ruddock's punches are like BB's compared to Floyd's fists of buckshot.

I am obviously of the opinion that Tyson would win in less than 90 seconds. My friends argument is that Tyson would never be able to hit Floyd, and that Tyson would tire out. This is an ongoing 10 year debate and I'm obviously super frustrated by it and just looking for some backup.

    Muh size doesn't matter
Muh it's not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog

Normies say these platitudes but it's BS. Mayweather would never beat any decent world class heavyweights, even if we're talking about old school 176-199 pound heavies. Ray Robinson and Rocky Marciano were contemporaries. Lots of people are of the opinion that Robinson was more skilled than Marciano. But Robinson would have never been able to beat Marciano. Same with Mayweather and Tyson, except the skill gap isn't as great between Mayweather and Tyson as it is between Robinson and Marciano.

Interesting first trolling post, the equivalent of shitting yourself in public.

As a very talented poster once said, The law of physical weight and height can prove even too much for the most talented, Mike Tyson crushes Floyd Mayweather by KO 1, Tyson too fast, hits too hard, has weight advantage over Mayweather.

Let's get real. Floyd dropped a load in his pants at the prospect of fighting Golovkin at 154.

If he had to fight Tyson at heavy he'd still be running.

If he ever actually fought Tyson it would take two men to unplug Floyd's corpse from Mike's fist.

I get that Mayweather had some elite skills but even elite skills run out when the pounds become too much. IMHO 160 was too much for Floyd. Really, 154 was probably too much too but he managed to fight the right guys and out slick them. Kudos to him. But prime Tyson? GTFOH.
