I was thinking about this the other day. If Crawford had been from another city do you think he would have a different personality and easier to market? For example, Spence is more known and cocky because he grew up in the tough streets of Dallas whereas Crawford grew up in Omaha ( a city not really known for being violent, hell people are surprised when they find out black people are from Nebraska). Dallas has a culture of swag and hip-hop that Omaha lacks so it's no surprise that Crawford has a bland attitude. If Crawford was from Baltimore, New York, Philly, or Chicago, I believe it would/would've been easier to sell him to the urban public.

I'm not saying "more black" but it's easier to understand why Crawford lacks the personality and swag that Spence possesses.

I'd say it's more to do with respective resumes, Spence a career ww has better wins than Crawford even though Crawford has more titles. I'm non American so I cannot comment on respective personalities, but Spence grew up sparring Mayweather and was annointed the next big thing so he was well known before he was world champion whereas Crawford wasn't. Spence was also golden gloves and US champion as an amateur and Crawford wasn't an amateur standout. For the record I think Crawford stops him in the 11th.

Roy is from Florida. Florida has a reputation, Nebraska doesn't

Omaha has a rich jazz scene. You obviously know little about Nebraska.

Spence is a brown paper bag of a personality just like Crawford is.

I don't care where a fighter is from personally but for some stupid reason people do. If I only cheered for fighters that are where I am from, I wouldn't be watching boxing.

You could market the hell out of Crawford, Soence as well.
Just on skills. Doesnt matter where he is from.
Also didnt he get shot in the head once?
Imagine the story you could make from that.

Nerds win fights. Alcohol, slacking training, staying up all night is terrible for your boxing career. Bernard Hopkins didnt become a great fighter until be became a nerd.
