    Yes chinny

    Brook KO 65%
Ugas KO 37% career 140 pounder who came up
    Danny KO 52% career 140 pounder - low KO% at 147
Mikey KO 71% blown up 135 pounder whose KO% above 135 = zero
Peterson KO 41% career 140 pounder
    Algieri KO 31% - career 140 pounder
    Bundu KO 32%
    Van Heerden KO 36%
Ocampo KO 60% even Spence admitted Ocampo had no power
    Lo Greco KO 47%
    Porter KO 47%

He'd been hurt multiple times by light to average punchers, so much so he's had to spit out his mouthpiece like 4 times IIRC to buy time ton recover. Ugas hurt him badly with a nothing shot FFS

Now imagine him in against a legit banger his size or god forbid a KO artist with one shot power his size? Crawford is a natural 147 pounder and a big puncher but he's not a devastating puncher or a one punch guy. Super Boots would ice Spence in a couple of rounds and imagine what a same size Inoue, Beterbiev or even a Dosser if he landed would do to Spence if they caught him flush.

I've already explained in depth why his lofty P4P ranking was totally unwarranted and yes even the so called experts, many of whom are his countrymen, were blinded by the smoke and mirrors, their own bias, or are completely clueless.

Very good fighter, top 2 147 pounder, arguable P4P top 10, yes but top P4P 5 no goddamn way in hell and he never was.

funny, before the fight, a lot of sports outlets were saying the winner of last night's fight would be pound for pound best.
meaning not one of those talking heads indicated spence was over rated.
i personally like spence's style. i like the way he fights. i thought he would squeeze out a victory due to his size, pressure fighting, and heart. i still think he is all those things. sadly he met with an outstanding boxer who never let up on the gas pedal once the bell sounded. that's boxing sometimes.

Bud is in quite the unenviable position in that respect. There's no one currently active at either 147 or 154 that will truly enhance his legacy. The man has truly terrible timing. Sure those three probably are the best names available. But that is genuinely an indictment of how repulsively weak these divisions have become. At this point, other than old ass GGG. Even 160 is a bit of a wasteland.

I guess I wanted Spence to be something that he is not (A Mike Mccalum, GGG, Hagler type of fighter) I guess he is not that. I wasn't surprised that Crawford could win a decision but I did not expect this type of domination.

Fantastic post that pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter. I would have added some sarcastic jokes about how Spence fights right out of a "Big Guy Boxing 4 Dummies" book but why bother being insulting? He is a (very) good welterweight with obvious flaws that happened to play right into Crawford's strengths (slight chinny-ness that has been greatly exacerbated by undisciplined lifestyle and detached retinas being chief among them), who also had the additional benefit of competing in a weak welterweight division of career 140 lbs-ers moving up and 154-lbs feather fists moving down; hell Crawford is technically a 140 lbs-er moving up! He was overrated by the media's need for the next great rivalry in a marquee division, and he benefited from it tremendously. But at no point was he one of the ten best fighters in the world regardless of weight. Kenshiro Teraji has a better claim to pound-for-pound status than Spence!

Not true. Even before this fight many are already mentioning that Spence is a hype job. He is good but not elite at anything. He only fought two real 147 fighters and struggled against them.

I saw people here mentioned that regarding Spence. I saw that being mentioned regarding Spence on other forums as well

That has more to do with Welterweight being a shitheap of a division than the "greatness" of Spence. And I disagree.... a healthy Vergil Ortiz, Jaron Ennis and Stanionis would've most likely beaten Spence from last night. Maybe even Butaev.

You've proven time and time again, that you have terrible judgement, which is frequently clouded by illusory perceptions. Also, you're not great at processing and comprehending what you're witnessing and coming away from it with any next level incredible observations. So we fundamentally disagree once again, and I don't feel like playing ring around the mulberry bush with you again, because it'll go nowhere but a stalemate.

Spence is not a hype job. If he is then Crawfords win is meaningless. You cant call him a hype hob and then turn around and say this is Crawfords best win.

Who's saying this is Crawford's best win? It might be, or possible Porter, he certainly gave Bud the tougher fight, and Porter arguably should've picked up the win over Spence. I didn't write this thread to blow smoke up his ass, but to bring everyone back down to earth, and put the fight into its proper perspective.
