De La Hoya is overrated. He was very good but he wasn't this boxing god that many have you believe.

Prime Crawford beats him, probably by a somewhat comfortable UD, 8 rounds to 4 or something like that.

Prime Oscar was a monster, who beat better fighters than Bud ever has.

I'll take Crawford in this one. Oscar was a great fighter. Fundamentally fantastic, very tough and, especially when he was younger, really quick. Bud has a skill that not a lot of fighters have, namely creativity and the ability to use the creativity to punch with effect from unusual and difficult angles.

    I have Crawford by decision.

You know..... this is very interesting. Oscar was robbed a few times but he did beat some great fighters in Chavez, Ike, Pernell, and Vargas and was robbed in some other ones like Mosley and Tito. Here's the question I have to ask, is Crawford at 147 as good as Pernell at 147? T

crawford easy at any weight. Oscar always dealt with stamina issues. Crawford would start touching the body and thatd be the beginning of the end.

Crawford obliterates De La Hoya. Crawford is a top 20 ATG.

Hoya could box from a distance, like he showed vs Trinidad.

Crawford is very good against opponnents that come at him, but less good when he has to do the going forward.

So i guess Hoya would chose the safe tactic (like he always did) and try to box at a distance and then try to catch Crawford coming in and test his chin.

But i still think Crawford would win a decision because Hoya just never was an elite fighter and he would always fade in the later rds. Crawford seems to get stronger as the rds progress.

De La Hoya was a fantastic fighter and he'd definitely give Crawford a tougher fight than Spence. I can see his combination of size, speed and movement giving him some success vs Crawford. Crawford would find him much harder to counter because of this, Oscar could be in and out before Crawford could counter. I'd expect Oscar to be close on the cards, maybe even in the lead at the half way point as Crawford tries to figure him out.

But in the end I think Crawford would figure him out. Ring IQ is where Crawford has a clear and definitive edge and Oscar did did tend to fade late, he struggled with southpaws like Whitaker and Pac, because he didn't have the right hand that's usually so effective vs southpaws. Crawford wins a competitive but clear decision as he times Oscar with counters in the 2nd half of the fight and out boxes him leaving Oscar befuddled and with no plan B to fall back on.

Prime/whatever weight. Crawford would have always been a step ahead of De La Hoya. Easy fight. The skill difference is remarkable. If you can't see it...no one can't point it out for you.

This is a very tough fight.

Before the Spence fight I'd have taken Oscar for sure.

    Honestly don't know right now.

One thing people tend to forget is how big Oscar was. The guy was as big as Spence just about, a flat out better fighter, who would have the speed advantage over Crawford, and with a practically undentable titanium chin at 147 or above.

This is a great fight. Being high off of the Spence fight I'd say that I could definitely see Crawfords sharp shooting and defense really pay dividends against Oscar.

Great fight, can't call a winner right now.

    Spence beats ODLH.
    Obviously so does Crawford.

ODLH however gives Crawford a marginally tougher fight than Spence did due to the fact that styles make fights.
