    What makes Margarito's situation any different from any fighter? ... all fighters once they reach a certain point in their careers they want the money even if that means not fighting a fighter to get that money.

    Its a weak double standard ...

    There is no excuse for Margarito fans, because he's going to avoid fighting some serious contention now, focusing on a money making opportunity that he may not ever get.

    A guy with 5 L's and a Loss within the last year isn't going to grant him any big fights until he gets some consistancy going. He won 3 straight fights now ... that doesn't compare to 39 fights, and a 12 yr unbeaten streak.

    Dude he's be fighting since he was 15 in dirt poor TJ. He has every right to look for money and porvide for his family.

    Margarito is not a promoter, If he was he would have put himself in a money fight years ago.
    Why does **** change now, he is still not a promoter?

    As long as he fights Williams in the next 12 months i don't really care what he does. The man just beat the alleged "man" at Welterweight in convincing fashion and before you know it people are trying to tear him down. Give it some time before you start this garbage.

    He made 1.6 against Paul, 1.4 against Cotto, almost 1 against Cintron, same against Clottey.... Seriously folks, he's made almost 5 million over the past two years. How many brothers and sisters does he have????

    And what would be wrong with him taking $4M against Paul for the second fight?

    Did I miss something? Didn't Williams beat Marg the last time they fought? Can you be the man and ignore the the guy/champion in your division who beat you? What happen to proving you are the man?

    Or are they not fighting to see who the best is...it's about making smart business decisions...

    Margarito and his handlers are ****ing hypocrites and I hope that his recent motives get him exposed.

    Every fighter is due for some type of compensation for what they do, but at the same time ... he's no different from any other fighter wanting big money for a fight.
