Anthony Joshua vs. Bobby Helenius - IS ON!

It may sound funny, but I would give Helenius more chance to beat AJ, than Whyte

 

Bobby's gonna give the bodybuilder a beating! lol

 

I like this match up, if Helenius is on top form he can cause some problem. AJ ain’t Wilder where one tap sends you to another realm lol

Though, Hrgovic would have been a stronger match up because he has youth on his side.

 

The fans should get a solid 6 mins of entertainment from the ring walks and introductions.

 

Level of fighter than was to be expected I suppose. If he hadn't been destroyed in a minute by Wilder it might have sounded a decent fight.
But Helenius is a very basic strong upright fighter and AJ should have no problem getting him out of there.

 

Finally, this wait is over, all in all a solid event with fighters that we have at least heard of, in the end it ended well.

 

I would prefer Whyte (history with AJ, common recent opponent in Franklin, comparison to Fury's performance, and I want to see him botch that crossguard again) but Helenius is fine. He had that effortless warm up and confidence booster a few days ago, has the destruction of Kownacki on his resume not so long ago, and hopefully he was chosen because they can hype the Wilder bout with more common opponents.

At the end of the day Helenius is a Washington tier contender, but at least him being chosen means Hrgovic and Chisora get to fight whom they were supoosed to fight. Win-win. That, and Adaś will be avenged once again.

 

Helenius is a likeable dude, but goddam has he been over-amped since beating Kownacki (a limited fighter whose chin was always gonna give way eventually). People were giving him a chance against Wilder, and giving him a chance against AJ? This guy's been KO'ed by Duhaupas and Washington, who I think everyone agreed was a terrible fight to make when he was being floated as an AJ opponent.

Really, they may as well have bumped Washington up to fight AJ, and brought Helenius in to fight Chisora to settle that old score.

 

I gotta strong feeling this will be a snooze fest with AJ not letting his hands go and just landing to a UD.

 

2 fights in a week for Helenius.

Well, at least you know he's in shape.

 

Hrgovic is top level contender, both he and AJ need to prepare for each other, to much is left to chance 7 days before.
