Is JT using the word "classic" a little too loosely? I think it was good, don't get me wrong, but not sure it's classic territory.

Same. Wasn’t even close. Valdez must have felt like he was fighting an octopus with all the angles the punches were coming from. And he never really hurt Navarette. A few of his punches may have looked good but with the way Navarette moves all over the place, seems to me that is what made those punches look bigger than they were.

exactly. Navarette was much more busy, and not even bothered by Valdez. When the announcers start harping about precision which they did they were trying to make an excuse to score rounds for Valdez. Valdez had no answers. 10-2 9-3 tops.

Was not a classic. Solid fight. You got your money’s worth. But that wasn’t Barerra vs Morales. Just a good solid fight

Trillogy? Valdes would have no eyes left, he'd need to be like that 3 eyed fish in the Simpsons.

I cannot believe a smaller man who forgets his jab and gets into firefights could not beat Navarrete. Truly the shock of shocks.

This is one of those fights where a lot of people (casuals and perhaps a few of us) would have scored this fight differently with the sound off. I can't tell if Tessitore is an outrageous shill trying to drum up excitement or if he honestly believes some of the garbage coming from his mouth.

Valdez studies Navarrete but you can't study that style, it's in no book, unpredictability, and throwing punches from areas that you never even see in most sparring.

Navarrete's face with no bumps what so ever, that tells the story.

I had it about 8-4 for Navarette but it was a very entertaining fight.

Valdez is going to have to avoid the mirror for a while.

Valdez had the bigger name. Until now.
