Why a prime Tyson is better than both Lewis and Holyfield

Tillman is interesting, I felt Holyfield struggled with him a bit at cruiser, Tyson lost to him twice in the junior Olympics, but then ended up being one of his best first round knockouts

and jesus the punch wasn't even all that clean, looks like his lower fist (wrong knuckles) maybe got the temple but certainly wasn't a bullseye

Me too. I hope Witherspoon makes another one I can't seem to have access to buy his last. Holmes has "Against All Odds" I'm interested in too that came out in the tail end if the 80s which also sums up his views on 90s boxing im interested in. Can't get enough of boxing books though 70s-00s I'm most intrigued by.

 

I think those wars w Ruddock took something out of him too. Prison definitely didn't help but Tyson was bound to have some kind of setback given how chaotic his life was during the time. This clip always gets me.

Holyfield was older and had taken more damage in his career before they fought.

Tyson wasn't prime? Neither was Holyfield.

And stop whining about headbutts. You're such a Tyson fan go watch his early fights. he wasn't above roughhouse tactics, low blows, etc. He loves and respects Holyfield so why don't you follow Mike's example and stop whining about a fight that happened almost 30 years ago.

Mike was great and strong but when someone fought back he sometimes didn't hold on well, and this is the issue. If Holyfield and Lewis held on then would the same thing happen as happened..

 

Tyson was more spectacular than both Holyfield and Lewis, but h2h, he losses to both more often than not. Stylistically, neither match up ever favored Tyson.
