...but passed 41 years ago, only twenty-three years of age.

    ¡Descansa en paz, gran campeón!

    Mucho love for SS, IB.

Not many fighters who made that big an impact in that short a space of time in boxing history.

    Maybe no one, in fact…

    Tragic waste of life.
So many if only s in boxing and Sanchez s is one of the saddest.

It' shocking to think of him as he would be at 64 now, but simultaneously weird to think that it's been so many years and he'd still only be 64. He accomplished a lot in just a few years.

I have to disagree. I think, to me he lived enough and got to realise his dream what more can a man ask for? Tragic loss he didn’t need to go but he got what he worked so hard for.

I think he’s got almost too much love honestly.

Yes in hindsight I realize my title was somewhat clumsily worded and could give people the mistaken impression today was his birthday rather than anniversary (41 years) of his death.

One of my all time favorite boxers. The great Salvador Sanchez left the world too soon but what a legacy he's left for boxing. Such a tragedy that he died at such a young age but what he was able to accomplish in a short amount of time is incredible.

Mike Tyson showing more appreciation to Salvador Sanchez than Canelo.
