Crawford hands down. Although I never thought Spence was a top 5 pound for pound fighter, I had him just outside at 6 or 7.
I’m gonna say may over Corrales. Spence vs Crawford was good on paper but Spence’s inactivity and car accidents detracted from the quality of the win
The Spence win was better considering that it was Crawford's third weightclass, but I don't think it was better than Floyd over Canelo (yes that's using hindsight).
fresh account. 15 posts deep spread across the various boards. coming in strong with the agenda. your familiarity is sus. back in the day, they'd say "stfu noob!", but maybe you already know that. so who's alt are you?
Here is the Ring Magazine Pound for Pound List of 2000 (the year the May-Corrales fight took place). As you can see May and Corrales were not even both in the Top 5. That fight was not for Pound for Pound best and was never build as such. After the fight, May moved to the number 5 spot. Bud and Spence were Top 3 Pound for Pound and the fight was for the Pound for Pound's best. I think it is clear which win was better. And before anybody say Spence was weight drained, the same thing was said about Corrales at the time Shane Mosley Felix Trinidad Roy Jones Jr. Oscar De La Hoya Diego Corrales Naseem Hamed Floyd Mayweather Jr. Lennox Lewis Erik Morales Bernard Hopkins
Crawford was 3 and Spence was 4. Also, they didn't have to compete in the rankings with prime versions of Oscar, Tito, and Roy Jones.
just curious, is the Corrales fight may's best win in your view? because the case can be made my opinion
Crawford's win over Spence ranks higher than Mayweather's over Corrales, imo. Mayweather ranks higher than Crawford based on their entire respective careers, imo.
