It’s only 2023 for crying out loud. Give it time. He may potentially be a contender alongside the likes of Tank, Inoue, Shakur etc.

 

He won't fight much longer and we're only 3 years into the decade so it's very doubtful.

I think this is a bit different. Floyd didn't have a ton of fights but he beat his primary Fighter-of-the-Decade competition in the ring. Hard to give it to Pacquiao in that situation. Neither Usyk or Crawford are going to fight Inoue so the fact Inoue may be fighting until close to the end of the decade gives him an edge.

Bud is elite. That's why I always hated when people tried to compare Spence, Porter, Thurman, Garcia, etc, etc to Bud. Those guys are good. But there is a difference between good and elite.

And that's just one of the reasons this thread is ridiculous.

 

The decade is pretty young I don’t think he has enough time left or opponents to make it, there’s 7 years left for someone to stake their claim.
Usyk has a shot, if he beats Dubois first then fury and Joshua and wilder, but it’s likely that someone like Haney will have a better chance due to age and opportunities available.
Canelo has a chance to although iam ashamed to say it, I think the sport is at a point where we are being naive to think anyone is clean anymore, I would like discount anyone who has been popped but I think the sport is so tainted now that it’s almost impossible to believe anyone is clean.
