    I totally agree with you:

    1. Floyd was remarkable sportsman. You can see that in such small gestures. You got to appreciate him!
    2. the imperfect has its special charm. Whether individual athlete or team sport. It's just more interesting to see somebody deal with some drawbacks, overcoming some odds by using some special features like Floyd did.
    in Fact: I think many people who only admire the absolute superstars are pretty pathetic and lack individuality. But I think that is unfortunately the zeitgeist. Extremely superficial, extremely commercial.

    Btw: i chose Tyson-Ferguson because Mike reminded me so much on Patteron in this fight. Cool headed, measuring, took his time to wear him down (in fact: i never saw so much work on the Body on any other Tyson fight). He showed a great overall boxing performance, great staimina and pace controll. He ducked a lot of punches, and countered well with some explosive combinations. You got to see it :) :) :)

    Bbtw: i read the Tyson biography from José Torres during the mid 90's when i was a kid. My avatar pic is one of the view illustrations in that book.

    The first Diaz fight is also a great fight but it's nowhere near even II. Those two had a weird energy that produced greatness.
