How did Tyson Fury get up against Wilder?

He may be a coward currently for running scared of Usyk. But Fury always had heart and bottle in the ring. Like jmm or hamed, he was often kd but always got up.
I applauded his real life rocky moment, it was epic.
Back in the day when I, and everyone else, considered him a self uppercutting meme. Emanuel Steward like a prophet predicted Fury and Wilder to be next champs and said Fury had something in him that should not be underestimated, like a fire.

Too bad he didnt enough faith in his own abilities like that in the grand scheme of it all.

This is so true, before he fought Wlad, I remember thinking “the guy who uppercutted himself in the face?”

….and honestly, his performance against Wlad was abysmal, he just won because Wlad did nothing…. That one has definitely gotten the revisionist history upgrade by many fans…

He has looked way better after that fight, imo.

 

He just has insane recovery. That’s not something you train.

Fury is capable of a lot, both positive and negative aspects. Many say he has "an average chin, but good recuperating power" - I don't separate one from the other because having "a hard chin and poor recuperating power" seems worse. Hard chin, big heart. It is what it is - the man seems impossible to knock out. Hurt him - yes, he is a human after all, no point in attributing him everything positive possible (as some do with Usyk).

 

He said he was unconscious on the way down and woke up when his head hit the floor.

That happens, sometimes. He got lucky.

I think I once read he claimed the right knocked him out, but then the left woke him up. It sounds like bull**** but I like to think the one time Wilder did more than just throw one punch it backfired on him

Recovery is very good. Also IQ he waited just enough to not rush it and lose his balance. Also good call by the referee to allow him to continue.
