Weird fight that doesn't really make sense, but I can live with it. Sean is probably one of my favourite fighters on the roster
The build up should be funny at least, it's a mismatch style wise though, it would be a huge upset if Strickland got the win. It's only happening because du Plessis had to pull out due to injury, that fight will be more competitive.
The buildup will be a spectacle, hard to see the fight being interesting with Strickland's distance game with Izzy's 7-inch reach advantage.
That UFC ppv card is terrible. Adesanya easily outclasses Strickland. All people can say is "the press conference will be awesome", yeah because the fight itself will be zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Joke of a ppv card.

Lawler is a fan favourite and definitely top 10 for entertainment in the ring.. Loved the fact that the UFC gave him a proper send off after his last win.

it is an odd card for a Sydney PPv that hasn't been done for years when they first came to Aus. they were banking on Whittaker to win and be ready for a title fight. they have other Aussies such as Jack Della and Taffa to fight on other cards and won't make the card which defies logic. The card should have been dated to build it around Volk or have Jones v Stipe on it as how many Aussies actually like Izzy, everyone i know in Aus can't stand him.
Strickland has a chance if he makes it an ugly fight and mixes in some takedowns, but I don't think he will do that. He will stand there and try to box Adesanya and lose a boring competitive decision.
