Not sure if you noticed the bit where the ref said it was a low blow and gave him 5 minutes. Sure he was hurt but if he had to be up he would have been up no doubt he's not gonna stay Down like dubois.
This was a great fight Also Fury is fighting an MMA guy next. He's practically retired. Bugs me the **** out when people keep bringing him up
The shot was close enough to the line that I am not sure how you can blame the referee for whatever call he made in real time. There were other shots that were low and that probably conditioned how he saw the key punch. If you look at it from certain angles it looks legitimate, from others more questionable. I don't buy all this moral victory stuff. Are you going to fo through every Hopkins or Ward fight were they got away with a elbow or nut shot and demand the history books are rewritten. In fact Dubois should actually lost his last fight via the 3 knockdown rule. Usyk TKO round 9, end of story. The orginal poster predicted with complete confidence that Dubois would knock out Usyk- decapitate him in fact. If that was your expection I no idea how you argue Dubois done well- he underperformed your expection. If he the monster you paint him as he should been able capitalise on round 5 to finish the job. I thought Usyk would win the fight a lot more comfortably than he did, so from my intial starting point Dubois overperformed.
Now he's the uncrowned WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, & The Ring heavyweight champion, what should his P4P ranking be?
Respect for Dubois. The man quit. I don't understand his mentality. Surely it's preferable to go out on your shield and be KO'd than quit and have to face people calling you a quitter for the rest of your life. F that. KO me.
Hes not a real fighter, when it gets tough he takes a knee. He's an athlete who was pushed into boxing by his father.
It was a strange one. If it was a low blow, why did they not deduct a point from him? I genuinely think it was a legal blow.
Agree with Brixton. Said before but Dubois clearly doesn't want to fight and his Dad has toomuch control. You could see it in the corner when Dubois wasn't paying attention to his trainer and looking over to somebody. They should just let him make his own decisions now they have milked a decent pay cheque out of him.
How is obeying the referees instructions playing the game? Usyk wasn't given a count as the referee saw it as a low shot which on the footage was fair enough. If Dubois had followed up and not quit he wouldn't be crying about it or Warren.
He was badly hurt but he's a warrior if he had to stand up and take a beating he would have done I'm convinced.
