By the letter of the law, it was low (just). Usyk still has a glass body though it seems, how many times now has he been visibly hurt? Beterbiev Guy in WSB Joshua Dubois I now think Wilder has an excellent chance.
But.... but... that video is slowed! If you watch the video in real time, it doesn't quite show the hit as explicitly as when you slow it down. And since the real time video looks borderline, I maintain that it's a borderline shot. And since it was borderline, I think that's good. Therefore this was a legitimate body shot that Usyk definitely would have been counted out from had he seen the ref counting. It's a good body shot. Usyk was KO'd. Save your slow replays and freeze frames. They don't override real time video. Nice try though.
This is under the basis that Usyk doesn't get up in time. Just because Usyk used a couple minutes to recover when it was immediately ruled a low blow doesn't he doesn't grit his teeth if the ref started counting.
