With all this talk about the low blow controversy and the fact that Dubois could not capitalize on the body shots and chose to quit after a series of jabs does he truly deserve another shot against Usyk? The fight itself outside of round 5 was mostly controlled by Usyk. Would anyone really be that interested in seeing a rematch just because of that round?

he never came close to deserving a title shot to begin with. Unless i'm forgetting someone, he is lucky to have beaten a top fifty opponent, let alone top twenty.

God no. He didn't even deserve his shot at Usyk after the corruption in his previous fight. If he wants a rematch against Usyk go rematch Lerena in South Africa first and then get on your knees and kiss Usyk's feet and beg him to put you on one of his undercards one day

Usyk ate humongous shots from a much bigger murderous puncher, Dubois was folded by a jab from a CW

No, he lost all rounds and barely hit Usyk

Usyk has 2x fights against TOP10 boxers left and will retire then

Not for me. Regardless whether you think it was low or not, DD still had a lot of rounds left to capitalise and didn’t.

No, it was about as one sided as it gets.

Dubois went in intending to hit the body and land as low as he could get away with...

When you make that your tactic, you have to accept that you might accidentally hit too low and it'll get called low - you have to accept that call if it happens and carry on... Dubois hit too low, probably not on purpose but he did, and he couldn't accept the referees judgement.

The fact he quit whilst he still had a punchers chance seals the fact he doesn't deserve another shot - he was never going to win on points, he only ever had a punchers chance anyway.

I didn't blame him for the quit against Joyce, but this one was not okay.

Why would he want to go in again when he quit from a jab.

Based on what happened Dubois deserves a rematch. However nobody in the boxing business wants it, and Dubious unlikely will get it.

Why would he? The only reason we talk about the match at all is because of the illegal shot Dubois delivered. Usyk won pretty much every round, dominated Dubois with ease, and knocked him out. Ironically, while this was the most trouble Usyk got due to the low blow, Dubois was actually his easiest and most dominant HW fight to date. I was never a fan of the idea of having rematches just for the sake of it anyway. If there are questions left to be answered or if the fight was really close, then a rematch should be warranted. In cases like the fight last night? No way.

A fighter who quits never deserves a rematch.
