Wlad hasn't clinched excessively since the fight against Peter. Peter's amateurish brawling style calls for that defense and Wlad did what he had to do. No need to lower his talent level to impress haters like you.

He is the Rey Mysterio of the Heavyweight Division. He keeps talking tough while the grownups are accomplishing something...

No.... Peter's ultra aggressive style caused Wlad to hold 96 times in the fight. 96 times without a point being taken away is a fuccing travesty by the way and that ludacris referee should have been banned for that performance.

Let's pray we have a competent ref for the rematch.

Ain't gonna be a rematch, cause Vitali will deflate Peter to where he won't have enough clout for Wlad to fight him again.

    You forgot the "if..."

"If" he makes it through the dreaded training camp....VITKLIT has lost an unmatched PENTOLOGY to training camp, certainly his most impressive record.

...and that's a very big "if..."

yeah don't mention sam peter's best weapon. remember the double rabbit punch :yep :yep :yep

both guys got away with some stuff. wlad probably should have been deducted a pt or 2...but 2 of three kds should not have counted and peter is the one who could have been DQed

Rabbit punches are far worse than holding. man, u must friggin hate Ali then. that dude held, mauled, held behind the head like crazy :yep

I'm a fan of both Toney and Peter, and therefore can't state unbiasedly that James deserved Sam Peter's secret weapon...the dreaded Thunder Clap.

Your clip starts basically right when Peter starts swinging...missing the important footage that reveals how they got into that position against the ropes.

Toney was driving his cranium into Peter's sternum... a very painful and illegal tactic by the crafty veteran. You can see Peter's move worked to get Toney off of him, because the ref wasn't doing a good job of it with his weak left arm, and half ass attempt...James was trying to apply the pressure every second he could get, and didn't turn his head away until after Sam's Thunder Clap.

It was worth the point deduction, sometimes you've got to do the refs job for him.

What do you think of John Ruiz then who has held over 200 times on 3 different fights without a point deduction? The last 3 rounds it was Peter who was doing the holding he was dead tired.

Randy Neumann has a reputation for not stepping in and breaking fighters. He was chosen by K2 for a reason.

Poor Waldo was having nightmares of Robert Byrd waving the fight off for weeks after the Brewster fight.

Chosen by K2? And not disqualified Samuel Peter in round 5 for punching to the back of the head?

    Laughable.

    Wlad also throws tremendous punches:

In round 12 Peter holds on for his life:

Good job slowing it down...it's not nearly as impressive in real time, it at least looks longer here...why not show how WLAD followed up and took advantage of having his man stunned for that brief second...???... oh, that's right...he didn't.
