None at all. I know you’re going to say size doesn’t matter. But factor in speed, skill and the fact that Langford will be fighting a guy who’s stripped down to Cruiser and then moved up to heavy. This isn’t even fair to Langford. He gets destroyed. 1 round. How it goes 2 is unimaginable.
I definitely think size matters, but Langford has fought and beaten men the size of Usyk before. It's not like Oleksandr is bringing anything new to the table size wise, especially not anything that Sam hasn't seen before. Also, who has Usyk ever destroyed in one round? Langford's chin has been tested against significantly better and harder punchers than Usyk, so I just can't see that outcome happening. If Usyk wins it's likely by decision or a later stoppage IMO
Langford may have fought fighters Usyk’s size but no way were they as athletic as he was. Footwork and all. As for 1st round knockout let’s just agree on that. But he doesn’t go the distance and he definitely loses.

I have to disagree with the consensus here. Langford was arguably as clever and versatile as Usky, and he hit mike an absolute b*****d. I could see Usky being somewhat uncomfortable, against a smaller puncher who fight him in the pocket.
I'm sorry, but Langford doesn't appear to be particularly skilled or subtle. What he does have are very wide shoulders and long powerful arms. His timing seems good and I'm guessing that he had a great chin too judging by how he fights without too much thought of defence. It's clear that he had a punch from hell. This content is protected That said he's a midget compared to Usyk and he'd have an impossible task of trying to knock out a much bigger opponent who is also a much better boxer. If Usyk wants it in the pocket then that's where the fight will be; if Usyk wants it at range then likewise, Langford doesnt have the footwork or size to close him down. Mismatch.
I'm surprised at people saying Langford wasn't clever, although I am also on team Usyk here. In the Jeannette fight, Langford struck me as very clever
I don't think it's fair to say Langford wasn't skilled, I don't think you can make such a broad definition given the footage. In fact, I reckon if you filmed a guy like Duran or Canto with such a wide shot, inconsistent speeds, distorted tape at such a low quality, both of them could also look terrible. What Langford did speaks for itself IMO, he is, after all, one of the greatest fighters ever. Not to mention his power, toughness and stamina are legendary. But all that being said, he was still 5'7, and he's at an eight inch height disadvantage and against a southpaw to boot. A shorter fighter is usually toast against a long southpaw. Your backhand will fall short almost every time, jabbing is virtually useless and probably more of a risk than it's worth, and any attempt to get inside risks walking straight onto a back-hand you either can't counter or can't avoid. Given Langford's stature and size, combined with how his style suits Usyk's, I just can't see him winning short of a one shot KO.
All due respect but Im hoping youre drunk. A guy doesnt get to 300 fights or more without being clever.
